RIFT 3.0: Nightmare Tide Release Pushed Back to October 22nd

As hinted at during yesterday’s RIFT live stream, Trion has been internally weighing the decision on whether RIFT 3.0: Nightmare Tide was ready for release or not by October 8th– the expansion’s original targeted release date. In an official announcement published this evening, Bill “Daglar” Fisher gave the final word: Nightmare Tide‘s release date has been pushed back to October 22nd.

“Our goal is to make Nightmare Tide the best expansion you’ve played, and our new launch date gives us time to batten down the hatches … and blow you out of the water,” Fisher said. This is great news for RIFT fans who have felt that the expansion needs more time to allow for improvement, polish, and bug fixes. With any luck, our release will also include a few more endgame features for players to enjoy.

On the plus side, this also means that we’ll have more time to dive into open beta.
