Racing to make sure all of my ArcheAge foundations were in place before the original release date of RIFT 3.0: Nightmare Tide on October 8th has been head down, Ferrin cat tail up, but yesterday Trion Worlds Senior Community Manager Eric “Ocho” Cleaver announced the postponing of Nightmare Tide to October 22nd. Ah, a breather. I figured I’d jump on here to share updates and the latest in ArcheAge news.

Last weekend I had the honor and pleasure to host our “Into the Origins” ArcheAge podcast with Bas and special guests Producer Victoria “FireCait” Voss and Assistant Producer Amanda “Amary” Fry. Junkies Nation’s Editor-in-Chief Laura Hardgrave generously noted and produced a recap of the two hours these awesome ladies took to sit with us and share a ton of ArcheAge highlights, clarifications, and updates.
It was sincerely our pleasure to get to know them a little better outside of work hours. As always when spending time with Trion Worlds staff, I learned a whole lot about the people who make the worlds we love to play in. Enjoy the video if you haven’t seen it already!
ArcheAge Launch Update Number Three
Trion Worlds CEO Scott Hartsman released another launch update last night on the ArcheAge official forums, keeping players informed on measures being taken to combat the continual influx of gold selling spam and bot accounts as well as server news. Breaking Trion Worlds’ traditions regarding releasing player numbers, we were also elated to find out that two million accounts are playing ArcheAge currently. This does not include the mass ban on bot accounts. These numbers confirm how popular this MMO sandbox truly is.
Other highlights in this update include:
- Twenty one new servers
- UI updates
- Marketplace updates
- Solidifying the Auroria release date
- Live updates
- Holiday events
